Join Out the Gate Travel for a 5-day weekend of fun in the sun in beautiful Cartagena! The trip includes a 5-night stay at a 5-star beachfront resort, transportation to and from the airport, a welcome reception, a pool party with DJ, a day outing on a catamaran sailing around the Rosario Islands, a tour of San Felipe de Barajas Castle, a sunset cruise, and a farewell dinner. This trip starts at $1,770 per person for double occupancy, single occupancy starts at $2,155. This is a trip for persons 21 and over only. Please see the itinerary below. Trip insurance is not included, but we offer it and it is highly recommended. Flights are not included in the cost, but we can recommend the best flight to book.
Call or fill out the contact form to get exact quote from your city of origin, for questions, to make a payment, or to start a payment plan. Space is limited. A $500 deposit is due by November 1 that will be applied to your trip total. If you miss the November 1 deposit deadline, please reach out to discuss payment options. Total trip must be paid for by March 25, 2027. There is no research/admin fee for this trip.
Take off from your home airport and arrive in Cartagena. Flights are not included in the price of this trip. Price may vary based on airport origin. Head to the 5-star hotel to check-in (hotel name given to those who register). Settle in, take dip in the pool or head to the beach. Enjoy the welcome reception at 7pm.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then venture to see the Castillo de San Felipe and explore the Walled City. Grab lunch on your own. After a morning in the heat, head to the hotel for an afternoon pool party with DJ. Enjoy dinner on your own.
Today, we enjoy breakfast and then set for sail around the Rosario Islands. Enjoy the musical sounds of the DJ and drinks and snacks. We will stop for lunch (included) and to snorkle, swim and frolick in the water at three different islands. Return to the hotel and head into the Walled City for a night out and about.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Head into the Walled City to shop, take a cooking class (optional at an extra cost), explore the streets of Getsemani. Eat lunch while out. Meet group for sunset cruise around the city (included in cost), then dinner on your own.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Take a trip to San Basilio de Palenque (optional at an extra cost). After lunch, head into the Walled City for some last minute shopping and exploration or return to the hotel for the pool and the beach. Join the group for a farewell dinner from 7-10pm.
