Join Out the Gate Travel as we venture to the Capitec Franschhoek Cap Classique & Champagne Festival, also known as "The Bubbles Festival! Please see the itinerary below. The trip includes hotel accommodations at 4-/5-star hotels, transfers to/from airport, transfer to/from Franschhoek, two-day tickets to the champagne festival, a day Safari trip to see the Big 5, a visit to Robben Island, ride to the top of Table Mountain, a visit to Boulders Beach, and a champagne sunset cruise. Also, included are three dinners and the Cape Town City Pass. The trip to Cape Town land portion starts at $2635 (airfare not included) per person for double occupancy, single occupancy starts at $3615 (airfare not included). This is a trip for persons 18 and over only. Trip insurance is not included, but we offer it and it is highly recommended.
The Mauritius luxury beach excursion can be added for an additional cost of $2,220 (double occupancy). This portion includes the flight to Mauritius. This portion of the trip will not be escorted. Should you choose to add on this portion of the trip, you will need to book your Cape Town flight as a multicity flight with a return flight from Mauritius instead of Cape Town. Please contact us before booking your flight. There are no nonstop flights and an overnight stay is required.

A $500 non-refundable deposit is due now with a deadline of July 15, 2026 that will be applied to your trip total. There is a limited number of travelers permitted and once a deposit is made, a traveler's space is reserved. If you submit your deposit after all spaces are filled, your deposit will be returned to you. If you miss the July 15 deposit deadline and space is still available, please reach out to discuss payment options. There is no research/admin fee for this trip. Take off from your home airport and arrive in Cape Town the next afternoon. You will sleep on the plane. Nonstop flights should be booked when possible. From Dulles, it is recommended to book on United. Inform us if you would like to include your flight in your trip purchase.
Land in Cape Town and airport transfer takes you to Franschhoek where you will check-in to the reserved hotel, settle in, and enjoy free time the rest of the afternoon. Meet up for dinner with the group (meal included, alcohol is not included).

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Load bags for the for travel back to Cape Town. Transport will pick up the group. Arrive in Cape Town and check into the hotel. Meet up with group to head to Table Mountain for the beautiful views of Cape Town. After, meet for the welcome dinner with the group (meal included - no alcohol included).
Rise early morning for a full day safari excursion to see the Big 5 (African lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo). Pack a swimsuit to enjoy afternoon leisure at the facilities (infinity pool & spa). Breakfast and lunch included. Dinner on your own.
The group will travel to Robben Island via a ferry and tour the prison where Nelson Mandela, and many others were imprisoned. After the tour, return to the waterfront and opt to explore The Iziko Museums - a collection of 11 museums covering topics of African heritage, from natural and social history to art, science, and maritime culture.
Use your City Pass to venture on one of the free or discounted activities included with your pass. Enjoy your day activity. Meet the group for a celebratory dinner with African drumming and traditional African food. Transportation will pick up the group. (meal included - alcohol not included).
Enjoy the last day in Cape Town. Shop, take a hop on hop off bus tour, visit a museum, visit a wine vineyard, see the whales, seals or penguins, or explore the waterfront or the city. Use your City Pass to explore. Meet the group for a champagne sunset boat excursion. Then, dinner on your own.
Check out of the hotel and take the airport transfer. Those who are flying home, will END their trip. You MAY OPT to venture on to Mauritius. Those selecting this option will need to book their return flight from MRU instead of CPT. The one-way flight to Mauritius from Cape Town will be booked for you. Transfers included. Dinner on your own.
It's all about relaxation! Take a deep breath and spend the day by the pool, grab a cocktail poolside, or take a dip in the crystal blue waters of Mauritius. Visit the spa, go snorkeling or just lay out. Dinner on your own.
Try a water sport or venture from the hotel spending time at Port Louis or visiting the colorful earth of Chamarel. Free day to do what you like. Take a day trip into town. Shop, try some street food and explore. Dinner on your own.
Free day to do what you like. Hang at the hotel, go shopping, explore more of the town. Last day to snorkel, scuba, or enjoy a water sport. Lay by the pool and relax. Last night for dinner and to indulge in an evening of the paradise around you.
Pack your bags and take the hotel shuttle to the airport. Say so long to
beautiful Mauritius. Take flight for a long layover in Europe - overnight stay with hotel included, and then your flight to your home base. You will arrive on Dec. 17.
